Erie Insurance Seriously Good Student Contest Rules
1. How to Enter the Contest:
a. The Erie Insurance “Seriously Good Student contest will begin on August 19, 2013 and end on September 27th, 2013.
b. To participate, contestants must register their name along with a student’s name at wlde dot com, to be eligible. A student is defined as someone who is currently enrolled in elementary, middle, high school, college or is currently in home school, meeting Department Of Education requirements. A daily prize winner will be selected each weekday at 5pm and will receive the daily prize. The daily prize winner will be determined by random from all contest entries meeting eligibility requirements. Along with winning the prize, the first name of the “Seriously Good Student” selected as a daily winner, plus their school name will be posted at WLDE dot com, with a parent’s permission. If a winning student is home schooled, a school name will not be posted, unless otherwise requested. A contestant’s name will be posted after a winning name has been selected from all eligible entries and a daily prize has been awarded. The daily prize will be awarded to the parent of the winning student selected each weekday, not the person who is nominating, unless the person nominating is the parent or legal guardian of the winner. If a winning student is 18 years of age or older, they will be eligible to claim the prize for themselves.
WLDE is not responsible for computer malfunction, difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. WLDE is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her entry online at wlde dot com.
c. This contest is void where prohibited.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. You must be 18 years of age or older with a valid photo I.D. or other identification issued by the U. S. government or an educational institution. To enter, you must live in the Fort Wayne metropolitan area, consisting of Allen, Whitley, Dekalb, Wells, Adams, Huntington, Steuben and Noble counties in Indiana and Defiance, Van Wert, and Paulding counties in Ohio. Employees of Sarkes Tarzian Inc., Erie Insurance, other sponsors, and radio stations in the Fort Wayne Metro, and members of their respective families are not eligible. Family is defined as parents, in-laws, children, spouses, people in spouse-like relationships and siblings, including those in step and half relations. Anyone who has been employed by or interned with Sarkes Tarzian, Inc is also ineligible.
b. Eligible participants can win a WLDE contest only once every 30 days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six months. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
c. Contestants must go to the WLDE webpage at www.wlde.com and look for the Erie Insurance “Seriously Good Student” contest that will be posted on the website.
d. Participants (Nominator’s) may nominate multiple students during the contest, but may only nominate a particular student once during the contest. Multiple entries for the same student will not increase the chances of winning. Any student who receives more than one nomination will not be disqualified, but will still only be considered as one entry throughout the duration of the contest.
- Daily prize is Visa Gift Card valued at $50.00
- The Grand prize is a Visa Gift Card valued at $250.00.
c. All prize contestants must have a picture I.D. that matches the name, address and city of prize sheet to claim the Prize.
d. Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.
e. Participants must completely fill out the entry form at wlde.com to be eligible to win. A winning contestant will have 30 days to come to the WLDE studios at 347 W. Berry Street in Fort Wayne, IN, Suite 600, during regular business hours to claim his/her prize. If the prize is not claimed within 30 days, the contestant will forfeit the prize and it remains the property of WLDE.
4. Selection of winner
a. On Friday, September 27, 2013 WLDE will select a winner of the $250 Grand Prize Gift Card from all eligible finalists. To be a finalist, a contestant must be one of the daily prize winners of a $50 Visa Gift card and meet eligibility restrictions.
Conditions: Payment of all federal, state, and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners will be reported to the IRS on IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent.
If any prize is forfeited, an alternate winner will not be selected.
Contest winners are required to sign a Receipt verifying eligibility prior to acceptance of any prize of more than nominal value, and a liability release as applicable.
Pursuant to the Liability Release, the winner agrees to hold Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., and the respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless from and against any and all claims of liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest. These rules are subject to the interpretation of WLDE. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WLDE, and such changes will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement. All decisions of WLDE management in the administration of this contest are final.
No purchase necessary. The contest is void where prohibited. WLDE disclaims any responsibility for computer or equipment malfunctions on-air.
Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of WLDE.
WLDE, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the WLDE Web Site, Facebook page or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.
The station further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
These rules are subject to the interpretation of WLDE. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WLDE, and such changes will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement.
WLDE is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcements of any prize.
WLDE reserves the right to change the contest rules at any time.
